Long
before there were catch phrases, business terms and clichés such
as cross selling, focus groups, business synergy, telemarketing
and customer service there was a simple way of doing business
with a bank that did not need to be defined or categorized.
Things were made easy for the customer and the golden rule was
the basis of the relationship between the banker and the
customer.
In fact, the term customer
itself was a loosely used word; people knew each other as fellow
citizens, neighbors or friends. Life, in many ways, was much
simpler back then and people were much like today, proud, hard
working and relied upon their bank only when needed. Banks did
not try to convince the consumer as to what he or she needed or
load the consumer up with products and services that were of no
real benefit. The Community Bank is a throwback to those simpler
days and was created as an alternative to a banking environment
where names are replaced with numbers, voice mail replaces a
handshake and How are you? is replaced by What can we sell you?
Of course the technology that has streamlined banking, such as
Debit Cards and Internet Banking, is offered at The Community
Bank but is used only as tool and not a substitute for good
solid community banking.
The Community Bank staff, officers
and directors are very excited about being a part of this great
community and have committed themselves to offering the best in
products and services, giving back to the community at large and
treating you the way themselves want to be treated. The good old
days are not just nostalgia at The Community Bank but a modern
day reality.
If you get a chance please call or come by and visit with us, we
will greatly welcome you and appreciate your interest in The
Community Bank. |
