What we do

How does The Community Bank protect my personal information?

How does The Community Bank collect my personal information?

n  open an account or make deposits or withdrawals from your account

n  apply for a loan or provide account information

n  give us your income information

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

n  sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness

n  affiliates from using your information to market to you

n  sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

n  The Community Bank does not share with our affiliates

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

n  The Community Bank does not share with non affiliates so they can market to you.

Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

n  The Community Bank doesn’t jointly market

 

 

Other important information

The Community Bank is chartered under the laws of the State of Texas and by state law is subject to regulatory oversight by the Texas Department of Banking. Any consumer wishing to file a complaint against The Community Bank should contact the Texas Department of Banking.

The Community Bank also engages in the business of selling checks as an agent for a company licensed under the laws of the State of Texas and subject to regulatory oversight by the Texas Department of Banking. Any consumer wishing to file a complaint concerning sale of checks activities should contact the Texas Department of Banking.
